Compatibility note: This feature is available only with Alexa Voice Remote Pro paired to a compatible Fire TV.
Ring the remote from your phone
Check the pairing
Confirm Alexa Voice Remote Pro is paired with the Fire TV you want to use.
Connect to the same device
Open Find TV Remote and select the same Fire TV.
Trigger Remote Finder
Start Remote Finder in the Find TV Remote app.
Listen for the ring
The Alexa Voice Remote Pro rings for up to five minutes. It can take up to 30 seconds for the sound to begin.
Stop the sound
Press any button on the remote after you find it.
Requirements
- Keep the remote within about 30 ft (10 m) of its paired Fire TV.
- Keep the Fire TV powered on.
- Connect Fire TV Sticks to a dedicated power source rather than an unpowered TV USB port.
- For Fire TV Smart TVs, keep the television powered when using Remote Finder.
If Remote Finder does not respond
Check the batteries, restart the Fire TV, confirm the app is connected to the same device as the remote, and pair Alexa Voice Remote Pro again if necessary.
